Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actress from Canada. Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Born in Winnipeg but brought up in Wellington, she was the first actress to appear in The Piano. In this romantic drama film at 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. Also, she was a leading part as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a film that was released in the same year. Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 movie Amistad. The actress played teens in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa as a character in Almost Famous (2000).
